Philadelphia Eagles Give Back

For those that know me, I am a huge Philadelphia sports fan. Yes, I cried when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Now, speaking of the Eagles, I don't think many people realize the contributions that the individual players make to their community. Here are a few examples of the give back mentality:
- Chris Long donated his salary for the last 10 games of the season to Summer Search in support of educational equity in Philadelphia, Boston and St. Louis, the three markets that he played in during his 10-year career. http://6abc.com/sports/eagles-chris-long-pledges-to-donate-nfl-salary-to-charity/2550267/
- Carson Wentz founded the The AO1 Foundation with the mission of "uplifting individuals and communities around the world by demonstrating God's love for His people." https://ao1foundation.org/
- Nick Foles, Trey Burton and Jordan Hicks joined the Give5ToPCA (Philadelphia Children's Alliance) initiative with a donation of $50.000. https://twitter.com/KidAllPCA/status/882590256268292098
- Zach Ertz and Dunkin' Donuts of greater Philadelphia donated $15,000 to Camden youth football. Zach also donated an additional $250 for every touchdown he scored. https://www.nj.com/south-jersey-towns/index.ssf/2017/11/eagles_zach_ertz_donates_15k_o.html
- Wendall Smallwood paid bills and gave gifts during the holiday season to help single mom's in his hometown in Delaware. https://www.delawareonline.com/story/sports/nfl/eagles/2017/12/23/eagles-smallwood-wilmingtons-single-moms-holidays/975721001/
And these are just some of the examples of the charity work that these Super Bowl Champions have done. Leading by example makes them a Champion on and off the field and in my heart.
